Version 1.1.4

Latest

October 24, 2026

macOS fix for AirPods that were refused when their microphone and output share a name, plus a Trim fix and an interface refresh.

The v1.1.3 WiFi fixes are kept.

The Windows download is v1.1.2 for now.

Bug Fixes

•
AirPods are no longer refused when the headphone's microphone and its output share the same device name. This was introduced in v1.1.3.
•
Raising Trim from −∞ no longer produces invalid audio values.

UI Changes

•
New Sugoi logo and AirCheck title font, a thinner Trim slider, and easier-to-read small text in dark mode. The delay number is removed from the desktop view; the phone page is unchanged.

WiFi crackling fixes and a more dependable start-up

This update fixes two causes of crackling when listening over WiFi, fixes Pro Tools playback running faster than normal, and AirCheck now retries a limited number of times when your headphones are visible but fail to start. Windows builds now report the correct version.

Bug Fixes

•
WiFi crackling fixes — Fixed two causes of crackling on the phone player: audio could be scheduled on top of itself after the player caught up, and the streaming server could add extra silence when the audio engine was briefly late, stretching the stream.
•
Pro Tools playback speed — Fixed playback running faster than normal in Pro Tools.
•
More dependable start-up — When your headphones are visible but the first start fails, AirCheck now retries a limited number of times instead of giving up, and it no longer restarts monitoring after your DAW has released the plug-in.

Improvements

•
macOS: selected output device settings preserved — AirCheck now opens only the output device you selected and reads that device's current sample rate and buffer size, instead of opening the system default output first and carrying its settings over.
•
Windows: correct version info and a smaller installer — The VST3 and AAX files now show version 1.1.3 in Windows file properties (the previous release showed 1.1.1), and the installer is about 20% smaller (7.6 MB vs 9.5 MB).

FL Studio playback fixes

AirCheck now plays back correctly in FL Studio, and no longer drops a short silence every few seconds on smaller buffer sizes. Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, Reaper and Pro Tools are unaffected.

Bug Fixes

•
FL Studio playback fixed — Playback that broke up to near-silence in FL Studio is resolved. FL Studio delivers audio in wildly varying, tiny block sizes, which the transport-position logic mistook for constant seeking; that is now handled correctly.
•
Periodic dropout fixed — Eliminated a short silence that could recur every few seconds on smaller audio buffer sizes.

Improvements

•
Installer now lists AAX / Pro Tools — The installer welcome screen correctly shows the AAX plug-in is installed for Pro Tools alongside AU and VST3.

Pro Tools support on both platforms + one-click diagnostics

AirCheck now ships a code-signed AAX plug-in for retail Pro Tools on macOS and Windows, adds manual output-device selection, one-click Diagnostic Log Export, and smooths Bluetooth seek/scrub — plus fixes for the intermittent Bluetooth stutter.

New Features

•
Pro Tools (AAX) Support — macOS + Windows — Code-signed AAX plug-in loads in retail Pro Tools on both platforms, alongside AU / VST3.
•
Manual Device Selection — Pick any output device from Settings, even if your headphones aren't in the built-in brand list.
•
Diagnostic Log Export — One-click "Copy Diagnostic Info" in Settings → Support copies your environment and recent log so you can send it to support without hunting for a hidden file.

Improvements

•
Smoother Bluetooth seek / scrub — Seeking or dragging the playhead now produces a soft, click-free transition instead of crackle at the edges of the brief gap. No added latency.

Bug Fixes

•
Bluetooth stutter from variable host block size — Fixed intermittent stutter (which looked like a high-CPU problem but wasn't) by provisioning the buffer for the maximum host block size instead of the fluctuating instantaneous one.
•
Bluetooth seek stutter under high CPU — Seeking now re-primes immediately instead of ~2 seconds of crackle.
•
Bluetooth disconnect not reflected in UI (Windows) — A physically disconnected device now clears from the UI.
•
AAX high-DPI UI overflow (Windows / Pro Tools) — The editor now scales to the real monitor DPI on high-DPI displays.

•
Windows M4A/AAC support — Added Media Foundation decoder for M4A and AAC file playback on Windows.
•
SafePointer usage — Improved memory safety for async UI callbacks (ASIO warning, drag & drop).

Bug Fixes

•
Reference tracks lost after reboot — Tracks are now copied to App Support for sandbox persistence and restored correctly.
•
Windows reference path resolution — Fixed double-backslash path issue and added fallback to references directory on restore.
•
2 crash paths fixed — Resolved use-after-free in TrackSlot move and buffer overflow guard for unexpected block sizes.

Mobile Streaming Stability Upgrade

Wi-Fi monitoring is now significantly more stable across iPhone, Android, and multi-device sessions. Replaced the core audio routing with a non-blocking design to eliminate glitches.

Improvements

•
Major Mobile Streaming Stability - Wi-Fi monitoring is now significantly more stable across iPhone, Android, and multi-device sessions with increased playback safety margins and improved underrun recovery.
•
Auto-Select Bluetooth Device - When AirPods are not found, AirCheck now automatically selects any available Bluetooth audio device instead of showing nothing.

Bug Fixes

•
Fixed Wi-Fi Jumping/Noise After Lag - Resolved a recovery bug where a single underrun could cause repeated audible artifacts.
•
Fixed Multi-Client Streaming Interference - Slow mobile clients no longer drag down faster clients during broadcast playback.
•
Fixed Real-Time Audio Thread Risks - Removed blocking locks and runtime allocations from critical audio paths to reduce glitch risk.
•
Fixed Mobile Demo Noise State Coupling - Mobile demo noise processing no longer shares timing state with Bluetooth output.

Version 1.0.8

March 6, 2026

Improvements

•
3x Lower WiFi Streaming Latency - Completely rewritten streaming engine reduces latency from ~300ms to ~100ms. You can now monitor your DAW audio on your phone with near real-time responsiveness.
•
Rock-Solid Streaming Stability - New drift correction algorithm keeps latency locked at ~100ms indefinitely. Previously, latency would slowly climb to 300ms+ and require reconnecting.
•
Cleaner Audio Playback - Optimized buffer scheduling eliminates clicks and pops at buffer boundaries for smoother, distortion-free WiFi streaming.

Bug Fixes

•
Fixed Windows Bluetooth Detection - Fixed false detection of non-Bluetooth audio outputs (e.g., speakers, HDMI) being incorrectly identified as Bluetooth devices.

Version 1.0.7

March 6, 2026

Bug Fixes

•
Fixed macOS Big Sur Compatibility - Plugin failed to load on macOS 11 (Big Sur) with "Audio Unit v2 plug-in could not be opened" error in Ableton Live and other DAWs. The plugin now correctly supports macOS 10.15 (Catalina) and later.
