What's New in v1.0.5

April 27, 2026

Linear-Phase Processing + Tone Redesign

Linear-Phase FIR Engine

  • All-new 5-band linear-phase processing — Phase is preserved exactly across the de-mudding range. Transients are no longer compromised by the cut. Low-end de-mudding is cleaner with more impact, the overall sound feels tighter and more solid.

Tone Redesigned as a Tilt Shelf

  • Intuitive tilt shelf at 1 kHz — Turn left for darker, right for brighter. 0 is neutral (true bypass); ±50 is the maximum tilt. Predictable, immediate, no more "Q-width" guessing.

More Accurate AI Recognition

  • Optimized model integration — Sharper de-mudding decisions across the 13 instrument-specific models, more original character and dynamics retained.

Bug Fixes

  • Delta Listen × Tone fixed — Delta listen now strictly reflects pure ML processing residual when Tone is engaged, matching FabFilter Pro-Q / iZotope Neutron / Soothe2 behaviour.
  • Cubase / Windows stability fix — Resolved an issue where rapidly dragging Low Cut at high slopes (24 / 48 dB/oct) could disconnect the audio interface.
  • UI polish — Tooltip text aligned with new Tone behaviour across 5 languages. Info panel version footer auto-tracks product version. Tone knob ring is now symmetrical around centre.

v1.0.3 — Transient-Aware De-Mudding + Per-Band Bypass

April 14, 2026

Transient-Aware De-Mudding

  • Automatic transient preservation — Kiyome detects transient attacks and reduces EQ depth during those moments. Kicks stay punchy, snares stay snappy, bass stays tight.
  • Zero latency, zero new controls — Same Depth knob, better results.

Per-Band Bypass

  • Per-band power buttons — Disable processing on individual frequency bands directly from the spectrum display.

v1.0.2 — Make Room For

April 14, 2026

Make Room For

  • AI-guided sidechain ducking — Route another track to the sidechain input. Kiyome automatically ducks in frequency bands where the source is prominent, while the AI model protects healthy bands (max −6 dB sidechain-only cut).
  • Smart Auto Gain — Auto Gain only compensates for AI de-mudding, not sidechain ducking. Your tracks actually make room.
  • 4 Make Room presets — Vocal Space, Kick & Bass, Keys Unmasking, Full Unmasking.

Improvements

  • 48 dB/oct Low Cut — New steepest slope option for surgical sub-bass removal.
  • Info panel text zoom — 100% / 125% / 150% for better readability.
  • 42 factory presets — Up from 38.

v1.0.1 — Hotfix

April 13, 2026

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed AU/VST3 loading failure on Mac — Replaced bundled runtime with official self-contained build.

v1.0.0 — Initial Release

April 12, 2026

Features

  • AI-powered de-mudding — ONNX neural network for intelligent mud frequency detection and removal.
  • 13 instrument-specific models — Tailored processing for vocals, guitars, drums, bass, keys, and more.
  • Learn Mode — 5-second spectral profile analysis to identify problematic frequencies.
  • 5-band parametric EQ — Precision control across the 60-900 Hz mud range.
  • M/S processing — Independent mid and side channel de-mudding.
  • Analog Color circuits — Neve, API, and Studer-inspired harmonic saturation.
  • 38 factory presets — Ready-to-use starting points for common instruments and scenarios.
  • Real-time spectral visualization — See exactly what Kiyome is doing to your signal.
  • Zero latency processing — No added latency, perfect for tracking and mixing.
